Transferts avec l'Hexagone

Deux mangoustes nées au zoo de la Tête d'or à Lyon en 2011, sont parties jeudi 24 janvier en direction du zoo de Darica en Turquie. Ce transfert a lieu dans le cadre de la coopération entre les zoos membres de l'EAZA. (Source : page Facebook du parc lyonnais.)

Zoo Chester today recieved male Jaguar, Napo from Zoo Amneville. Next week he will be joined by a female who will come from another collection in France

Don't know for sure.... (Nesles maybe?) but will update as soon as she arrives.

1.3 Borneon Orangutan will also arrive at Chester today on a temporary loan from Blackpool whilst they re-build their indoor enclosure (they will be returned in late Spring/Summer 2013)

0.1 Malayan Tapir also arrived recently from Belfast. First time Chester have held this species in nearly 30 years

Concerning the malayan tapir, do you know where they are going to house it ? I suppose it will be exhibited in a temporary enclosure until the zoo open the new area "ISLANDS".

I have seen the answer on Chester Zoo website : in the cattle house where are located the dwarf forest buffalos.

Eventually she will go into Islands. But probably not when it is first opened (prehaps the year or two after in order to "add something new" to the completed exhibit)
But yes, temporarily in the Cattle House as you say

Le Parc De Felins sent "Kashka" a male Amur Leopard to Brookfield Zoo, America on an EEP recommendation

Chester's female Jaguar now arrives next week - probably from Zoo Parc Beauval

(KASHA is the female which now lives in Lyon)
(and the other male KADRAN went in summer 2012 to Novosibirsk)

On the same day, Cotswold's Wildlife Park (Burford) recieved a male Asiatic Lion from France to replace the previous male who died in Autumn 2012. We believe him to be from Boissiere's 2011 litter
